Mom's Fresh Peach Cobbler

1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup water
Cook until thick.  Add 4 cups sliced peaches
1 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp lemon juice
Add topping and bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

Topping:
1 cup flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Cut in 1/4 cup butter.
Stir until crumbly
Add 1/4 cup milk and 1 beaten egg.
