Spray a 9X9 dish.
2 cans of biscuits ~ cut into 6 pieces, I used my cooking scissors.
1/4 cup of butter or margarine ~ cut up on top of biscuits.
Sprinkle brown sugar over the top. I used about 3/4 cup.
Bake according to the biscuit package. Then I just turn them out onto a cutting board and it just pulls apart.

Do you know of a similar recipe which can be used to make a homemade version of the cans of biscuits? We do not have that in SA and I sincerely want to make monkey bread {never tasted this!} Thank you for sharing at our ALL MY BLOGGY FRIENDS party!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda;
DeleteI am going to post a different recipe than my sisters. With it you can use your dinner roll recipe and make the dough into small balls and use the same directions as Joye used on the monkey bread. I will get busy and make it next week so you can see exactly what I do. Mine is called 'pull aparts' so you know what to watch for. It is almost the same. The dough is the main exception. Thanks for asking so hopefully we can help you try it. It is a yummy treat.
Have a wonderful Easter,
Myrna
