PEACH COBBLER

PEACH COBBLER (My Hubbies Favorite!)
Arrange in a glass pan 5 cups of cut up fresh or bottled peaches.
Sprinkle with a mixture of:

2/3 cup sugar
2 Tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Dot with 2 Tablespoons of butter.

Sift together into a bowl:
1 cup sifted flour
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Add:
1/3 cup cooking oil (Wesson)
2 Tablespoons milk
1 egg

Stir with a fork until blended. Drop by spoonfuls over fruit. If desired, dough may be spread with a spatula to cover surface of fruit. Bake 25 or 30 minutes in a moderate oven (350). Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
