Frayed Hot Pads

                   30 Minute or Less Project
For these hot pads I used 6 fat quarters. I didn't even iron them ~ it doesn't matter.
My hot pads were made from a recycled kitchen towel that had lost it's color.  Recycle.  Batting would work or you could cover your old hot pads.  I cut the towel 7 1/2 inches and the fabric 8 1/2 inches.  Make them whatever size you like.  Put your fabrics in order so that the bottom color is facing down. Then the batting of your choice, then add the other colors facing up.
Pin all the layers together.

Sew back and forth.

Cut the layers EXCEPT the one on the batting!  Snip where you cut to create the frays.
This is the end result.

P.S. I had enough of the frayed colors left for another set of hot pads.

Thanks for Buzzing by,
