A Do It Yourself Happy Pumpkin!

T
This is a fun little project you could do with your little ones or just for yourself.  My friend gave me this pumpkin that she painted.
Thanks Darlene!
 Directions below ~
This is a pumpkin from the garden or the store.  Wash the pumpkin and wait for it to dry completely.  Then cut out a cute shape for the eyes that you like, for this one she cut one tear drop shape.  Trace the shape on the pumpkin with your pencil.  Dry brush the cheeks on it,  use a dusty rose color.  Then  paint the white of the eyes on the bottom, then the blue for a sparkle to the eyes and finish them off with the black and lined them and added the eye lashes.  Give it a fun smile and you are finished.  This really is a HAPPY Halloween project.

Halloween Decor at the Busy Bee's

Halloween decorations here, at the The Busy Bee's/
The trick or treat block are just chopped from a 2x4 painted and sanded.  Frankenstein I cut out from a pattern book I bought.  The orange and green pumpkins are sewn.  They are just panels sewn together from a pattern I found a the internet a few years back.  Then just tie them with jute to cover up the seams once they are stuffed.  They are a very quick pattern.  The witch was shown here on our blog a few days ago.  We hope you are enjoying our Halloween decorations and that they inspire you!

Spooky Halloween Decor

Happy Halloween!
This is some of the Halloween decorations we have here at the Busy Bee's/  We hope this gives you some ideas.
We use our Fall decorations for 3 months.  So others things come and go and they stay as great fillers.
Also if you are pressed for space or don't have a lot of crafts,
make Jack~O~Lanterns on the backs of your pumpkins and just turn them around.

I'm Melting Witch

This witch was a quick and easy project.  I drew up this pattern and cut it out of 3/4 inch pine on my scroll saw.  I glued and screwed the hat to a piece of 1x4 inch pine that I rounded the corners to look more hat like.  Then glued the star on it.  Adding some ribbon and furry type yarn to jazz it up.  The boots are just wired to the hat brim.  I taped on lines for the stockings to keep them straight, and highlight the bottoms with white.  I added the same yarn and ribbon to the boots.  I highlighted both the hat and boots by dry brushing them.  Happy Halloween!

Mummy

This is a super easy project that takes hardly any time, talent or tools.
I chopped a 2x6 on my chop saw for the "Listen to your Mummy" sign.  I cut out the letters on my Cricut using black card stock.
For the Mummies I just chopped 2x4's so they were in different sizes.  I just painted a flesh color over the 2x4's then I dotted them with the end of a paint brush for the eyes.  If you choose to do this, clean the brush every time so the eye's don't get larger each time.  I shredded a white sheet and tied knots at the ends to connect them to each other.  I dry brushed some brown paint on them to antique the look.  The bases are just cut from a 1x6 that I chopped, painted and sanded.  I glued the Mummies to the bases and then screwed them to make them stable.

Now remember to "LISTEN TO YOUR MUMMY"!

Happy Halloween for the Busy Bee's.
