Fresh Apple Cake
With Crumb Topping
1 cup oil Crisco
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
3 cups flour
1 cup nuts - optional chopped
3 cups peeled, diced apples
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. vanilla
1 cup raisins (soak in enough water to cover 1 hour.)
You can add this water if you think it looks too dry.
This recipe makes 2 loaves.
Push raisins and apples under batter, too keep from burning.
Bake at 325 degrees 1 hour and 20 minutes
Grease and flour loaf pans.
Bag before completely cool to keep moist.

Crumb Topping
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tea cinnamon
mix together and crumbled on top of cake before baking
Our Mom puts this yummy crumb topping on and it makes it extra special. Mom made this cake and it was delicious.
