Ham - chopped into small pieces
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
2 -3 cups diced potatoes
3/4 cup butter
3/4 cup flour
1 qt. Half & Half (I used canned milk)
1 1/2 tea sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon sugar
Dash of pepper

Boil vegetables until tender.  Place butter in frying pan.  Add flour, salt.  Mix Well.  Add cream and ham to cooked vegetables.  Stir in Butter and flour mixture.  Simmer 10 minutes or until thick.

When you cook a ham and have left overs this is a good way to use them. our house we cook a ham so we can have ham chowder.  You know how it works.... I  4 times the recipe and we enjoy it when company comes or for any large gathering!!
